Though the idea of the animated comics bring Watchmen to life and give some sort of depth in the form of movement to the graphic novel, watching this cartoon post-film makes leaves me wanting to hear the voice of Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach: the man just brought a whole new edge to his character, Walter Kovacs. For those who have seen the movie, the animated comic book scene is that after The Comedian’s death, it is Rorschach’s opening monologue (though there are parts left out in the film from the [animated] graphic novel. The Watchmen film was excellent when taken into context with the original (no, really, the original) graphic novel, but that’s what you can expect from Zach Snyder. If you didn’t know going into the movie, it becomes increasingly obvious (during the prison scene especially) that this is a Snyder film. Elements of “300″ anyone?
